So that’s a new extortionate weekly outgoing you can’t afford, but it’s necessary, can’t have dirty kids.

Learning to bulk freeze dinners is no use when you don’t have the electricity to cook and keep frozen the food you can’t afford to buy in the first place.

Yes there will always be exceptions to the norm, but the vast majority of poverty stricken families in this situation are desperately trying their very best.

Unless you’ve been there, it can be hard to understand but please try to empathise. Being poor and miserable is never a life choice.

Good afternoon beautiful souls...

Today is #worldkindnessday2020, I love that there is a day just for kindness! Although, of course it’s something we should try to be all year round. I’m sure you have all heard the expression ‘In a world where you can be anything, be kind’.

The beauty of kindness is that it’s completely free! Of course if you can treat someone with a meal or a gift or a beautiful present that’s lovely, but if you are not in a financial position to do so there are many other ways to show kindness.

Today let’s start a kindness chain and make sure we show kindness at least once today.

A text to a friend who you haven’t spoke to a for a while, a kind word to someone working hard in a shop, maybe a chat with an elderly neighbour who may well be lonely. So many lovely ways to spread a little bit of kindness.
