I AM HUMAN CAMPAIGN
2016 We launched the I Am Human Campaign which was well taken nationally.
``When I came across UKEFF, I was in a very desperate situation. They helped me to stand on my own two feet again. A few months on and I'm feeling confident about myself and starting a new job. I hope to give my Zakat to UKEFF this year so that I can help others in difficulty!``
I am Homeless. I sleep in the local park. I get £74 job seekers allowance a week but as I am not able to buy food and cook it, I have to rely on takeaways. When money runs out I have to beg for food or search bins for leftovers. Thankfully since the Food Hub started they give me milk, cereal, tins, pot noodles, hot meals and clothing. I no longer go hungry. Support Oldham Food Aid Hub
I AM JOHNNYI Am Human
``When I converted to Islam, my family ties broke down and I was sudden-ly left without support and shelter. Then someone told me about UKEFF and nothing has been the same again. I encourage every-one to get behind this organisation. We need it in our community.``

“I AM Christina. I am a single mum with 3 boys. I moved here from Italy. I found a cleaning job straight away but had little or no money once I had paid my rent & bills, for food. Ukeff helped me for over 6 months with food, as I could not see my children go hungry. I now have a better job and benefits for the children, thanks to their team. God bless them. Support Oldham Food Aid Hub”.
“I am a Syrian Refugee. I fled Syria leaving my family in a refugee camp, they have now joined me following help from Red Cross. We were given an empty property which housed my single bed and bedding. Ukeff helped us make our benefits claim and gave us financial as well as food support until our benefits came through. They also provided beds, bedding, carpets, sofas, house- hold items cutlery and crockery. They found school places for our children and introduced us to other Syrian families so we could make friends. Keep your Zakat local, so Ukeff can support other families like ours, to make Oldham their new home”.
I AM SAMERI Am Human
“I am a single mother with 4 children. I was suicidal when my husband left me in debt. Ukeff have supported me emotionally and financially. I am suffering from a brain tumour and have to travel by bus 3 times a week out of town for treatment, I cannot survive without this support. Keep Your Zakat Local so families like mine can be supported”.
I AM SAFINAI Am Human
“I was made homeless after my marriage broke down and I had to leave the family home. I had no savings and debt was crippling me and I could not afford my flat. I sleep in the local park or friends. I get £74 job seekers allowance a week, but after deductions I am left with £52, which I spend on takeaways. When money runs out I used to beg for food, or search bins for leftovers. Thankfully since the Oldham Food Aid Hub started they give me milk, cereal, tins, pot noodles, hot meals and clothing. I no longer go hungry. Support Oldham Food Aid Hub”.
